One of our best clients has a contract role for a Software Engineer in the Englewood, CO area. This is an amazing opportunity to get your foot in the door with a top company in the telecommunications/cable industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop scripts/tools for IP video monitoring and testing initiatives led by the group.
- Assist End-to-End Systems Integration and Functional Validation for Video Advertising platform
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, Development, System Integration & Test and Operations/Monitoring team as well as External Vendors to realize a Product from initial lab Proof of Concept to fully production system
- Assist in any improvements/optimizations of existing processes or functions.
- Assist with Operation Readiness Testing for the end-to-end platform and entire workflow, starting from Campaign creation, Execution, Data collection and successful reporting for Ad Campaigns
- Assist with training of Operations team for operational handoff
- Assist with documentation for end-to-end system and developing product playbooks for end users and operations
- Assist in functional validation of various components of the system that are either internally developed or licensed solutions from external vendors
- Assist in troubleshooting of any production issues
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS or related field
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and Performance/Functional testing experience
- Strong scripting and tool development skills in an IP-Video background (Bash, Python, JS, XML)
- Software Web technologies and monitoring tools knowledge (Node-JS, JSON, REST, NGINX, JMeter, Splunk)
- Systems Integration and deployment experience in Video products for DVB systems and/or IPTV
- Familiarity with video encoding and transport/streaming technologies (MPEG, H.264, HLS, DASH)
- Past Experience in developing, deploying or operating a Video Advertising platform would be a plus
- Systems Integration and deployment experience in Video products for DVB systems and/or IPTV
- App development in iOS and Android environments as well as Roku SDK development
